Yes. GapTracker is free to download from the App Store.

GapTracker is a native app for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.

No GapTracker account is required. Start by adding courses and topics manually. Moodle and Canvas connections are optional.

Import a PDF or photo from the course setup flow. Review the extracted topics and correct anything that looks wrong before saving. AI-assisted extraction can require a network connection and external text processing.

Readiness summarizes your recorded progress to help you decide where to spend study time. It is a planning indicator, not a scientifically validated prediction of your exam score.

Today’s Focus brings important study topics into a plan based on the time you have. It helps connect your daily work with the gaps and exams that need attention.

Core on-device study tracking is available offline. Features such as online syllabus processing, learning-platform imports, and iCloud sync need a connection when they run.

Optional iCloud sync can keep supported study data available across your devices. Sign in to the same Apple account and enable the app’s iCloud sync.

Open Calendar in Canvas, select Calendar Feed, and copy the URL. In GapTracker, go to Settings → Learning Platforms → Canvas, paste the URL, and choose Check Feed.

Confirm the Moodle address provided by your institution. Available sign-in methods depend on the school’s configuration. GapTracker also offers a token option or a calendar-link import when web services are unavailable.

Canvas connects through your calendar feed to import the assignments and dates exposed by that feed. It is not a full Canvas-account connection.

For Moodle institution sign-in, you sign in on your institution’s page. GapTracker does not see or store that password. The Canvas calendar-feed connection does not require your school password.

Your everyday study data is stored locally on your device. You can choose optional iCloud sync, direct learning-platform connections, and external processing for syllabus extraction. The privacy policy explains these separate flows.

When you choose AI-assisted syllabus extraction, the extracted text is sent through GapTracker’s processing service to Anthropic’s Claude API. The GapTracker service processes the syllabus text without storing it. Review the result before using it.

Yes. Select Cookie settings in the footer to allow or decline anonymous website analytics. Your choice is separate from the app’s on-device study tracking.
